Mission of Work
The mission of the LCMS and NID is to feed the found and find the lost as commanded by Christ through the life giving Word of God and sacraments. Among other things, These organizations should be serving the boots on the ground congregations and equipping them to be effective in their context.
Challenges, Opportunities, and Goals
The board of directors of NID has a great opportunity, especially now as people are hungry for hope and meaning, to help congregations flourish, plant new churches, utilize assets for ministry, including those of defunct congregations. This is a great and exciting time to be Christ’s church in northern Illinois. God has given us all we need and is leading us to not retreat but break down Hell’s gates with the Gospel of Jesus Christ
